Who is SURFsquared?
SURFsquared is an interactive website services company offering website owners a software platform that enables their visitors to invite and engage friends, community members, or customer support personnel in live interactive co-browsing.

What is co-browsing?
Using SURFsquared's co-browsing service, website visitors can visually share their browsing experiences with any number of friends and social community members. Co-browsing sessions are structured in a leader/follower format with participants taking turns leading the browsing experience. All group members can chat and mutually highlight, annotate, and generally interact with the shared browser page.

Why should a website use SURFsquareds co-browsing service?
SURFsquareds co-browsing service drives greater numbers of high quality visitors to client websites. Since the experience begins with a friend inviting a friend, the level of engagement during a co-browse is typically far superior to solo browsing. Co-browsing drives higher page views, increases total time spent on site, and ultimately increases sales conversions for host websites. In effect, friends helping friends provide the host website with free sales support.

What do website owners need in order to use SURFsquared?
SURFsquareds co-browsing service is a Flash-based application that is installed on the host websites servers. The application is very small, less then a meg, and is simple to install. Interested parties can join the SURFsquared trial program by sending an email request to: trial@surfsquared.com.

Do website visitors need to download anything?
NO. Being Flash-based SURFsquareds co-browsing service can run in all browsers and operating systems with no download or install required on the part of the end-user.

Do website visitors need to setup an account?
NO. SURFsquared identifies and pairs co-browsers as part of the invite process.

Are users personal information safe when co-browsing?
Yes. No personal information is shared or exposed to other participants during a co-browsing session.

How do website visitors start a co-browsing session?
To start a co-browsing session a SURFsquared user invites a friend, or multiple friends, using the integrated email invite process. (An instant messenger-based invite capability will be available soon). The user interface is quite simple. After clicking on website signage such as Live Friend Sharing users are presented with an invite browser header. They insert as many email addresses as are necessary to invite their friends and click send.

How many users can co-browse together?
Any number. In fact, SURFsquared can support 1,000s of simultaneous users in a single session. These large group experiences combine the power of web interactivity with the media consumption of TV to create a powerful sales and presentation medium.

Can users chat with other members of the co-browsing session?
Yes. When a co-browsing session starts all participants are joined to a group chat. For small groups SURFsquared chat is a freeform group chat, all participants see all messages. For large groups the chat service is configured in a host broadcast mode.

How does highlighting and annotation work?
Using Annotations you can highlight and comment on any section of a webpage. Click on the Annotate button in the co-browsing header to see a selection of 7 colors to choose from. Pick one and your mouse pointer will become a cross. Use this cross to place the upper left corner of your highlight box on the webpage. Drag down and to the left to create the highlight box. Click the small circles on the outline of the highlight box to add a pointer to the box. If you dont want a pointer just click on the inside of the box and the circles will disappear. If you want to add comments type in the input box provided and hit submit. If you dont want any comments just hit submit without typing anything. All users can create new highlights and annotations and add comments to existing ones.

How do users exit a co-browsing session?
By clicking Exit in the co-browsing header users are returned to solo browsing of the displayed page.

Can I integrate SURFsquared with my existing CRM services?
Yes. In addition to peer-to-peer and group co-browsing SURFsquared also offers a comprehensive merchant-based CRM co-browsing suite with call queuing, analytics, and statistical reporting. The service can support multiple distributed agents acting in either a sales or support role.

Does SURFsquared offer customized services for website clients?
Yes. SURFsquared will work closely with its website clients to identify ways in which customized application of the co-browsing interface can create user experiences unique to the clients website and/or service.
